About lea
Lea’s essays and poetry have been published in Griffith Review, Meanjin, Cordite Poetry Review, Westerly and Southerly Journal. She is co-author with Vince Copley of The Wonder of Little Things, published by ABC Books in 2022.
Lea has been awarded grants, mentorships and residencies from the Australia Council, Creative Victoria, the Australian Society of Authors, Griffith Review and Varuna.
Over the years she has worked as a registered nurse and midwife, social policy consultant, workshop facilitator and trainer, and plain language communication specialist.
Lea grew up on Ngadjuri Country, in the South Australian town of Clare. After long stints living in the UK, Hobart and Melbourne, she now lives in Adelaide.
